The Magis Transit trolley with chromed steel tube frame, polypropylene shelves and polished die-cast aluminium handle is conceived for indoor use and equipped with castors for easy movement between kitchens, dining areas, lounges and hospitality settings. Its shelves provide useful surfaces for tableware, drinks, accessories and service essentials, while the folding mechanism allows the trolley to occupy less space when not required. As a folding serving trolley, Transit combines everyday organisation with a light visual profile, making it suitable for residential interiors as well as restaurant and hospitality environments where adaptable service furniture is particularly valuable.

Mobility and folding function through the Magis design language

Magis combines three distinct materials in Transit: chromed steel tube for the frame, polypropylene for the shelves and polished die-cast aluminium for the handle. This contrast gives the trolley a precise contemporary character while keeping its function immediately understandable. Integrated castors allow the structure to be repositioned according to changing needs, while the folding design provides a practical solution when storage space is limited. Used as a mobile kitchen trolley, Transit can support preparation and serving; in dining or hospitality settings, it can carry drinks, tableware and other essentials between different areas. The combination of mobility and compact storage makes the design particularly useful where furniture must adapt quickly without sacrificing a refined material presence.

A practical companion to Magis Tables & Low Tables

Transit coordinates naturally with Magis Tables & Low Tables, supporting dining, entertaining and service areas with an additional mobile surface that can be brought into position when required and folded away afterwards. The polished aluminium handle provides a clearly defined point for repositioning the trolley, complementing the chromed steel structure with another metallic detail. As a rolling serving cart, Transit is equally relevant to domestic entertaining, hotel service and restaurant support, offering architects, interior designers and hoteliers a compact solution where circulation, flexible layouts and efficient storage all need to be considered.

David Mellor and a functional approach to everyday service

David Mellor gives Transit a straightforward identity centred on movement, folding capability and clear construction. Rather than treating the trolley as a purely decorative object, the design allows its practical elements—the tubular frame, shelves, handle and castors—to define its character. Its ability to fold makes it especially effective in interiors where service furniture is required only at certain moments, while the mobile structure allows it to move easily between preparation, dining and lounge areas. Whether specified as a folding kitchen cart for a private home, a serving trolley for hospitality or a compact mobile unit for restaurant support, Transit offers a balanced combination of functional versatility, clean material contrast and space-conscious design for contemporary indoor environments.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0550/0793/6771/files/magis-transit-folding-trolley-chromed-white-ac127-1690c.webp?v=1791191487
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0550/0793/6771/collections/designer-david-mellor_3ed5d7ce-885f-4908-a1a8-6430203c0fc1.webp?v=1732699402
