Designed for indoor use, My Dome creates a clear architectural focal point above dining tables, reception counters and hospitality surfaces without introducing unnecessary decorative complexity. Its matt white aluminium body gives the lamp a calm, sculptural presence, while the PMMA diffuser directs illumination downward to establish a purposeful pool of light beneath the shade. The result feels particularly effective in contemporary dining rooms, boutique restaurants and gallery-like living spaces where lighting is expected to reinforce furniture placement and spatial hierarchy through a controlled geometric gesture.

Layered interiors with Flos Ceiling lights

Used alongside Flos Ceiling Lights, the My Dome lamp can contribute to a layered scheme in which direct suspended illumination is balanced by broader architectural light across the room. Its downward output focuses attention on tables, counters and selected surfaces, making the lamp especially useful where atmosphere and functional visibility must coexist. Dimming from 10% to 100% allows the intensity to move smoothly from brighter task-oriented illumination to a softer evening setting, supporting dining, conversation and hospitality throughout the day. The matt white finish keeps the My Dome downward pendant light visually restrained against the ceiling, while its rounded form introduces enough sculptural definition to remain a distinctive element within the interior.

Flos My Dome: material precision and controlled illumination

The Flos My Dome pendant lamp expresses the refined architectural language associated with Flos, combining aluminium, PMMA and precise light control in a carefully resolved composition. A ceiling rose is included, while the 2.7 m cable gives architects and interior designers flexibility when calibrating the suspension height in relation to furniture and room proportions. The dome profile conceals the technical components within a smooth exterior, allowing the light itself to become the functional focus of the design. Its aluminium construction provides durability and material clarity, while the diffuser supports a clean, directed effect suited to residential and contract interiors where the luminaire must perform reliably without losing its sculptural identity.

A refined focal point within Flos Pendants

As part of the Flos Pendants choice, My Dome offers a sophisticated interpretation of the classic dome lamp for interiors shaped by contemporary materials and carefully considered proportions.
