BrogliatoTraverso x Magis
When a lamp becomes more than a source of light
The work of BrogliatoTraverso for Magis often begins with a simple question: how can a familiar object acquire another function without becoming unnecessarily complicated? The Bouquet LED table lamp/vase captures this idea especially well, combining illumination with the presence of a vase in a single design. It can become a luminous focal point on a table, console or shelf while retaining a decorative role during the day. For anyone looking for a Magis table lamp or modern table lamps with more personality than a conventional light source, this hybrid approach offers an interesting alternative. Bouquet also creates a natural connection with Magis Home Accessories, where useful domestic objects frequently become expressive elements of the interior.
Lost: drawing with light
With the Lost family, light is reduced to a remarkably clear visual gesture. The Lost LED table lamp creates a graphic luminous presence that can sit beside a bed, on a desk or within a living area without relying on an elaborate silhouette. Its simplicity makes it suitable for interiors where a minimalist table lamp needs to contribute atmosphere without competing with surrounding furniture. When deciding how to choose a desk lamp or bedside light, it is useful to think about both the direction of illumination and the lamp's scale in relation to the surface beneath it. A smaller source can establish an intimate zone of light, while a more visible fixture can become part of the room's overall composition.
From the tabletop to the architecture of the room
The same visual idea changes character when it leaves the table. Floor and wall lamps introduce illumination at different heights, allowing light to shape circulation areas, reading corners and quieter parts of an interior. A Magis floor lamp can establish a vertical presence beside lounge seating, while modern wall lights add brightness without taking up floor or tabletop space. Placement becomes particularly important: a floor lamp beside pieces from Magis armchairs & lounge can define a comfortable reading corner, whereas wall lighting can create a softer secondary layer along hallways or beside furniture. Combining several sources generally produces a richer atmosphere than relying on one central fixture alone.
Pendant lighting as a graphic focal point
The Lost LED suspension lamp translates the Lost concept into an overhead light, turning its luminous geometry into a feature that can be perceived from across the room. A Magis pendant lamp can be particularly effective above a dining table, where light and furniture become part of the same composition. In larger spaces, pendant lighting can also help identify functional zones without introducing physical partitions. When considering modern pendant lights or a designer pendant lamp, height should respond to both the room and the surface below: the fixture needs to provide useful illumination without interrupting sightlines. Above pieces from Magis Tables & Low Tables, a carefully positioned suspension lamp can give the dining area a stronger architectural identity.
Building atmosphere through different layers of light
Portable lamps, Table lamps, Floor lamps, Pendant lamps and Wall lamps each answer a different lighting need, and their real potential emerges when they are considered together. A small portable lamp can provide adaptable illumination where it is needed, table lighting creates intimacy, floor lamps influence a larger area and suspended or wall-mounted fixtures connect light with the architecture itself. BrogliatoTraverso's work for Magis moves naturally between these scales, maintaining a recognizable interest in simple forms and unexpected functions. The result is lighting that can support everyday activities while remaining visually present even when the room is illuminated by daylight.
